“Meisjes” is Dutch for girls.
Basic drawing done while on the phone with Dittie Bakker.
Also a good occasion to draw your attention to Raymond van ’t Groenewoud’s excellent ode to girls called, you guessed it: Meisjes
Paper & flyer made for In Search of… , a project about the roots of Dutch artist Bas Jan Ader (1942-1975).

Some of my work got published in BABEL magazine from Mexico. You can check it online here, and dust off your spanish skills. “Ilustradora holandesa” sounds pretty good, I think.
Poster I made to raise attention to Kristien Hemmerechts’ stint as VUsionary and “schrijver op locatie” at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Unfortunately my work got changed without consulting me while I was on holiday. So this is how it was supposed to be, not the version you can see hanging at the VU.
Today I participated in the world’s first read-in, a (very quiet) flashmob of people who congregated in a public space to read together, organized by Flemish writer Kristien Hemmerechts. She is the so called Writer in Residence at Amsterdam’s VU university.
For this event I created a stamp inspired by old ex librises, which I put in the books of the participants after the read-in. The stamp depicts a griffin (which is the trademark of the VU) with book leaves for wings.
Read more on this project (dutch only) in Flemish magazine Knack here.
Oh yeah, I was reading Vadsige koningen by Hugo Raes.
