Read-in Kristien Hemmerechts
Today I participated in the world’s first read-in, a (very quiet) flashmob of people who congregated in a public space to read together, organized by Flemish writer Kristien Hemmerechts. She is the so called Writer in Residence at Amsterdam’s VU university.
For this event I created a stamp inspired by old ex librises, which I put in the books of the participants after the read-in. The stamp depicts a griffin (which is the trademark of the VU) with book leaves for wings.
Read more on this project (dutch only) in Flemish magazine Knack here.
Oh yeah, I was reading Vadsige koningen by Hugo Raes.

aniYo kore
I saw aniYo kore play at a small festival in Germany a few weeks ago and am really impressed with their sounds. Did this drawing of them on holiday, added more coloring and typography yesterday. If you can get hold of their music, check them out!
